Description of Service: The Fillmore County Veterans Service Officer works with Veterans and their families to assist them to obtain the maximum benefits of which they may be entitled; to advise and explain various forms and applications; Fillmore County also provides transportation to the VAMC and those appointments for VA medical treatment; to work with Veterans Groups and Organization.
Federal Veterans Benefits: Education Benefits, Vocational Rehabilitation, Service –connected disability, Non-service disability pension, Healthcare and Burial benefits.
State Benefits: waiver of tuition, admittance to a Nebraska Veterans Home and Emergency Financial Assistance from Nebraska Veterans Aid Fund.
County Benefits: Transportation, County Aid
