NOTICE OF JOINT PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX INCREASES
Public notice is hereby given, in compliance with the provisions of Neb. Rev. Stat. § 77-1633:
Fillmore County Joint Public Hearing will be held on the 23rd day of September 2026, at 6:05 p.m., at the Fillmore County Courthouse – Courtroom, 900 G Street, Geneva, NE 68361 (2nd Floor) for public input on property tax increases proposed by the following subdivisions:
Fillmore County, (402) 759-4931, property tax requested: $6,723,915.83
York County Joint Public Hearing will be held on the 16th day of September 2026, at 6:01 p.m., at the York County Courthouse, Lower-level Conference Room, 510 N. Lincoln Ave, York, NE 68467 for public input on for the following subdivision:
Heartland Community Schools, (402) 723-4434, property tax request: $5,488,564.00
Thayer County Joint Public Hearing will be held on the 17th day of September 2026, at 6:01 p.m., at the Thayer County Courthouse, Club Room, 225 N. 4th Street, Hebron, NE 68370 for public input on for the following subdivision:
Bruning-Davenport Unified School District, (402) 364-2225, property tax request: $5,464,647.00
All meetings are open to the public with a representative from each political subdivision present at their respective hearings. Accommodations for the disabled are available upon request. There is no item on the agenda for this joint public meeting other than discussion of each political subdivision’s intent to increase its property tax request by a percentage greater than the “allowable growth percentage” defined in § 77-1633.
