Notice of Public Meeting and Hearing
Fillmore County Planning Commission
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Fillmore County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing during their scheduled meeting on Monday March 23, 2026, at 8:10PM in the meeting room of the Fillmore County East offices at 1320 G St, Geneva, NE. At which you may appear if you so desire, either in person or by agent or attorney, in opposition to or in support of this request.
Said hearing is for a Condition Use Permit filed by The Towers, LLC is proposing to construct a 300’ (overall heigh of 305’ with 5’ lightning rod) self-support tower at the Wireless facility to address a significant gap in service coverage. This initiative aims to enhance wireless communication for residents, visitors, and the traveling public within the surrounding coverage area.
Site: ENE ¼ LESS HWY ROW of Section 8, Township 5, Range 4, Shickley, Fillmore County, NE. (HWY 74 & Road 3)
The proposed detailed permit and map of the project is on file with the Zoning Administrator, 1320 G St, Geneva, NE and available for public inspection. Questions or comments concerning the public meeting and hearing may be directed to the Fillmore County Zoning Administrator. All interested parties may offer oral comments at the public hearing and/or may file written comments with the County Board concerning the petitions and such comments shall be considered by the County Board, provided such written comments are received by the County Zoning Administrator before 8:00PM on March 23, 2026.
